Madison Gas and Electric (MGE) Implements KloudGin for Mobile Workforce Management as a Key Component of the Utility’s Digital Transformation Initiative, “Enterprise Forward”

Madison Gas and Electric (MGE), an investor-owned utility serving ~157,000 electric and ~166,000 gas customers, launched a multi-year digital transformation, “Enterprise Forward,” to modernize field operations and replace paper, custom apps and fragmented systems. To standardize scheduling, routing and mobile field service and to integrate with Oracle C2M and GIS, MGE selected KloudGin and its Field Service Management (FSM) platform as the vendor for mobile workforce management.

KloudGin deployed its Field Service Suite, mobile crew app, analytics/data warehouse and integrations with Oracle C2M, Esri ArcGIS, GE OMS and Kronos, and put mobile devices in the hands of all field crews. The solution delivered real-time GIS access, AI-based high-capacity scheduling (including a “notify closest” emergency mode with second-by-second response tracking), and consolidated data and workflows onto a single platform. As a result, KloudGin eliminated many paper/manual processes, improved field data collection and visibility, reduced technology-related workloads, and produced more predictable, cost‑effective operations that scale across MGE’s service areas.
