Hawaiian Telcom, the Honolulu‑based communications provider, needed to modernize field operations across short‑cycle customer orders and long‑cycle fiber projects. Technicians relied on laptops and paper, dispatchers had to pre‑load daily work, and there was no integration between timekeeping and financial systems. To address these issues, Hawaiian Telcom turned to KloudGin and its Mobile Field & Asset Management / Mobile Field Service & Management Suite.
KloudGin implemented a single mobile app with scheduling/dispatch, timeclocking, dashboards, GIS (Geotab) and ERP (PeopleSoft) integrations, and asset/project management for installs and repairs. The KloudGin solution automated assignments, reduced routing and manual errors, and improved metrics: completion rates rose from 80% to 87.3%, appointments met reached 93.5%, repair times improved 10–15% (1.8 to 1.69 hours), and average install hours fell from 4.2 to 3.96 — while travel time per call dropped to under 20 minutes.
