RJ Power Group, a provider of LV and HV design, installation and commissioning services to the power sector, faced slow, paper-heavy field processes: engineers completed installation, maintenance and safety checks on paper, captured images on separate devices, and returned to the office for lengthy data re-entry and scheduling reconciliation. To solve this they adopted Klipboard’s mobile cloud platform to digitise forms, streamline scheduling and bring field jobs into real time.

Klipboard was implemented to create office-generated workflows (Earth Mat Test Sheets, HV Cable Insulation Test, circuit breaker reports, etc.) sent to engineers’ tablets to capture data, images and signatures in the field. The solution replaced all paper forms, gave the office a real-time view of operations, and cut admin dramatically — removing on average 4 hours of re-typing per report (reduced to under 10 minutes to check and download PDFs) and delivering up to an 80% reduction in admin, increasing productivity and freeing resources for site work.
