Oxford Instruments, a UK-based developer of advanced research tools, needed a secure, real-time way to record servicing across its Plasma and Nanotechnology departments. With 40+ engineers working globally and heavy reliance on email, laptops and paper to collect risk assessments, job sheets and service reports — and a client database that couldn’t schedule or allocate work — they implemented Klipboard as their field service management platform to centralize scheduling, allocation and data capture.
Klipboard provided a complete system for job scheduling, task allocation, real-time field data capture and a global map view. Engineers now receive jobs on a single iPad app and submit reports that are immediately available in Klipboard’s dashboard and can be emailed to customers, streamlining on-site servicing, improving audit and compliance, supporting management of 70+ engineers worldwide, and avoiding a large increase in admin resources.
