Klevu Smart Search drives critical business decisions within Joseph Joseph

Joseph Joseph, a contemporary kitchenware brand, needed to translate its premium product design into a Shopify storefront while making 1,000+ SKUs easy to discover and sell despite a small ecommerce team. For the redesign they worked with Vervaunt and BAO and selected Klevu’s Smart Search (upgraded to JSV2 and managed via the Klevu Merchant Center) to deliver a sleek, product‑centric search experience that matched the new site look and improved findability.

Klevu implemented a faster JSV2 search overlay with merchandising controls, synonyms, misspelling handling (NLP) and analytics, letting Joseph Joseph promote core ranges, surface relevant results and quantify demand. The impact: conversion rate from search +35%, searches +175% (960k vs 348k), sessions with search up to 8.9% (from 4.6%), AOV +25% (£57 → £71), and revenue from search +16%; Klevu analytics also drove the relaunch of knives, after which knife search volume fell 78%, indicating improved product availability and customer experience.
