A Klevu Case Study
The Cambridge Satchel Co., the handmade leather-bag brand founded in 1991, wanted to personalize its Shopify Plus storefront to better serve a high volume of new shoppers and the many customers who return 4–5 times before purchasing — and to distinguish gift buyers from self-buyers. Working with agency Charle to launch a new headless frontend, the brand deployed Klevu’s AI search, merchandising and product discovery tools, including Klevu Recommendations, to tailor experiences for new and returning visitors.
Klevu implemented site-wide recommendation blocks and later integrated with Klaviyo to power segmented AI recommendation banners, plus ongoing A/B testing and support. The results were strong: segmented recommendations drove a 64% increase in conversion rate and a 16% higher click-through rate, search-driven visits rose 34%, and shoppers using search converted at 3x the rate across the UK, US and EU — with Klevu continuing to optimize performance.
