B2B plant retailer Monrovia saw a 50% increase in use of on-site search with Klevu

Monrovia, a nearly 100‑year‑old plant wholesaler and D2C retailer, needed a more contextual, typo-tolerant search experience to help shoppers find the right plant among 4,000 varieties based on colour, sunlight needs, region and other attributes. After moving to Magento 2, Monrovia selected Klevu and implemented Klevu Smart Search, Category Merchandising and Smart Recommendations to better surface relevant products and integrate with its rich product data.

Klevu’s integration (about 90 days) delivered AI-driven search, navigation and merchandising that reduced no‑result queries and automated much of the team’s workload. The result: site searches increased 50%, no‑result searches dropped significantly, Monrovia can share localized search insights with wholesale partners, and Klevu now handles the majority of merchandising while the Monrovia team focuses on seasonal promotions and quarterly optimizations.
