How to improve active learning and increase engagement

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where marketing professor Geoffrey Stewart leads MBA and undergraduate projects, needed a way to keep students engaged and productive when the COVID-19 pandemic forced classes and company collaboration online. He turned to Klaxoon’s collaborative workspace and board tools, used alongside Microsoft Teams, to replace in-person teamwork and support remote and hybrid learning.

Using Klaxoon Board and the Template Library, Geoffrey organized student teams into dedicated channels, shared SWOT, Customer Persona, Business Model Canvas, and Value Proposition Canvas templates, and monitored progress in real time. The solution made meetings shorter and more efficient, increased participation and responsiveness, and created a more visual, continuous learning experience that improved student engagement, productivity, and project quality.
