Arion Bank needed to gain a comprehensive overview of its environmental impact, as data was previously scattered across various departments and systems. This manual consolidation process was laborious, and the bank required an established baseline and a method for continuous measurement. To address this, the bank partnered with Klappir and utilized its Sustainability Platform.

Klappir solved this by consolidating all environmental data into a single platform, using both real-time data streams from service providers and accounting data. This solution provided Arion Bank with the tools to accurately measure and quantify its environmental impact. As a result, the bank reduced its total greenhouse gas emissions from its own operations (Scope 1 and 2) by 37.6% since 2015, including a 64.8% reduction in emissions from its vehicles.
