Seyfarth Shaw, a global law firm with more than 800 attorneys serving over 300 Fortune 500 clients, needed a faster, more secure way to share large, sensitive legal documents across 11 offices and mobile devices. FTP and large Exchange attachments were degrading system performance and exposing files subject to HIPAA and other regulations, so the firm required a solution with encryption in transit and at rest, Active Directory integration, and detailed tracking.

Seyfarth deployed Accellion’s secure file-sharing platform and mobile apps to offload large attachments, enable encrypted mobile access and offline viewing, and provide enterprise reporting and authentication. The result: improved attorney–client communication and productivity, preserved email performance by routing files over 100MB (with plans to lower to 50MB), and stronger compliance and peace of mind through AES encryption and comprehensive tracking.
