Linde Streamlines Billing Process To Accelerate Revenue Recognition

Linde Gas & Equipment, a global industrial gases and engineering company, struggled with a resource-intensive billing process for its healthcare deliveries: each shipment required a proof of delivery (POD) to be matched to invoices, often resulting in thousands of pages per customer and slow, insecure third‑party scanning and mailing. The large, confidential PDFs and manual handling delayed payments and consumed significant staff time.

By deploying Kiteworks secure file transfer and a desktop sync client tied to Linde’s SAP-generated folders, Linde automated delivery of PODs and invoices with controlled access and scheduled pushes. The change cut turnaround to about one day, improved successful delivery from ~70% to 99%, accelerated revenue recognition, eliminated much paper and postage, and is now being expanded to support other global customer workflows.
