A Kitaboo Case Study
McGraw-Hill Education, a global learning-science company, needed to convert its K–12 Maths and Science textbook PDFs (80K–100K pages in English and Arabic) into fixed-layout ePub eBooks within a tight 3–4 week window. The project faced missing or misordered pages, incorrect trim sizes, frequent scope changes, and the need to add cover/front-matter/glossary content and reconvert pages to meet specifications.
Hurix Digital leveraged its cloud-based epublishing solution, Kitaboo, to automate and batch-process conversions, customize AR functionality, manually integrate missing sections, and run around‑the‑clock development shifts with a dedicated coordinator. Using Kitaboo, the team converted 100,000 pages into fixed-layout ePubs in four weeks, delivering on time and on budget while preserving the PDF look-and-feel, enabling multi-device access, and expanding McGraw-Hill Education’s reach into global digital markets.
