KITABOO enables customers to distribute eBooks by chapters

Leading Publisher Group, part of Hachette Livre and made up of 14 publishers, needed a way for teachers to share specific learning material and support offline distribution for schools so students received only the chapters required for their courses. Kitaboo provided its KITABOO Reader platform and chapter-based content capability to enable chapter-level control and sharing.

Kitaboo implemented chapter-based learning by creating each chapter as a separate Sharable Content Object (SCO), delivering customized KITABOO Readers for each of the 14 publishers and enabling offline school distribution; teachers can now map and assign specific chapters to individual students. As a result, the Leading Publisher Group can deliver targeted, teacher-directed course material that fits teaching guidelines, simplify distribution across multiple imprints, and better meet school and student needs.
