Preview of the Gyldendal Case Study

Gyldendal transforms legacy content into eBooks with Kitaboo in under 1 turnaround cycle

Gyldendal, a major Norwegian publisher established in 1925, faced the challenge of converting its vast library of legacy textbooks and literature into interactive eBooks. They needed a solution with a quick turnaround time that could integrate seamlessly with their existing web store and ecosystem without requiring major changes. They turned to the vendor Kitaboo for a solution using its KITABOO Publisher platform.

Kitaboo implemented its cloud-based KITABOO Publisher to convert the content and its KITABOO cloud-based reader for online viewing. The platform integrated easily with Gyldendal's eCommerce server, supported differential pricing, and provided out-of-the-box support for the Norwegian language. As a result, Gyldendal was able to quickly produce rich, interactive eBooks and bring them to market without having to alter its existing systems, achieving a seamless digital transformation.
