Case Study: Detroit Lions achieve 4X higher preseason watch time with Kiswe's interactive altcast

A Kiswe Case Study

Preview of the CrossFit Games Case Study

CrossFit partnered with Kiswe to formulate an open-source broadcast strategy versus the one-to-many approach employed by the vast majority of sports broadcasters

The Detroit Lions sought to capitalize on their control over preseason game broadcasts by creating an alternative stream to drive new monetization and deepen fan engagement. With fewer preseason games on the schedule, the NFL team partnered with Kiswe to develop an interactive, direct-to-consumer broadcast that would increase viewership and advertising inventory.

Kiswe provided its cloud production and distribution platform to create a remote, white-label altcast hosted by notable sports personalities. This solution enabled interactive features like live chat and polls, which were streamed on a gated website. The interactive Kiswe broadcast resulted in a 4x increase in average viewing time compared to a prior non-interactive stream, with data showing that fans who used the interactive features watched significantly longer.
