A large energy optimisation company partnered with KISTERS to address the challenge of increasing the self-sufficiency of a neighborhood's energy consumption. The aim was to optimize self-consumption using artificial intelligence and investigate the advantages of different system architectures.

KISTERS implemented its FlexManager solution, which used an intelligent algorithm to control a network of producers and consumers, including a battery, heat pumps, and photovoltaic systems. This resulted in the neighborhood achieving a remarkable 94% rate of self-sufficiency, a significant increase from the previous 30%, and substantially reduced energy costs for the community.
