Sending Paper Forms Between Offices Doesn't Work

Northshore Education (Northshore Education Consortium) supports intensive special education across five sites and was bogged down by paper forms and inter‑office travel: communication between the business office and schools often took 3–5 days. To solve this, NEC’s technology lead Mark Hodgkins chose Kissflow — a workflow and business process management solution for Google Apps customers — to replace paper processes and centralize administrative work.

By building and deploying dozens of automated workflows on Kissflow (38 apps), Mark streamlined class scheduling, time‑off approvals, reimbursements and other admin tasks so staff can manage operations remotely. Kissflow eliminated routine travel, shortened multi‑day turnarounds to near real‑time, reduced administrative burden across the consortium and even enabled directors to work from home.
