KAYAK, the global travel search engine with nearly 2,000 employees across KAYAK and OpenTable, needed a more modern way to manage office access. Its old on-premise system was difficult to administer, keycards were often lost or forgotten, and IT and office managers were spending time on routine access tasks. To improve both security and the employee experience, KAYAK turned to Kisi, using Kisi Reader Pro, Kisi Controller Pro, mobile access, and Okta integration.

With Kisi, KAYAK rolled out cloud-based access control that can be managed remotely from a single dashboard, while mobile credentials and Apple Wallet badges reduced reliance on keycards. The Okta integration automated on- and off-boarding, improving security by quickly granting and revoking access as employee status changed. The result was less administrative burden for IT and office teams, fewer access issues for employees, and a smoother, more modern workplace experience across KAYAK’s global offices.
