e3storage is an unmanned combo storage and DIY shop for hobbyist racers founded in 2010 that struggled with lost, shared and hard-to-manage keys, cipher codes and keycards. To solve administrative headaches and liability concerns around who could enter the facility, e3storage adopted Kisi’s cloud-based access control and mobile credentials.

Kisi enabled instant, self-service 24/7 access by delivering credentials to members’ phones, provisioning access minutes after signup via the Kisi Dashboard, and allowing remote unlocking, alarm control and timed/scheduled door rules. Integrated via Kisi’s open API with e3storage’s online booking, the solution reduced on-site meetups, improved security and liability control (ability to suspend or expire access), supports about 40 members, and made remote vendor and cleaner access seamless.
