Discovery Village leverages Kisi and Kangarootime to design an educational space rooted in security and trust

Discovery Village, a childcare center and preschool in Tarrytown, New York, needed a safer and more flexible access control system. Before Kisi, the school relied on a keypad code that offered limited security and made it difficult to monitor who was entering and leaving the building.

Kisi, together with the Kangarootime integration, replaced that setup with secure access control using Kisi Reader and Kisi Controller. The solution let administrators instantly grant or revoke access for users, doors, or groups, supported scheduled unlocks and one-time credentials, and worked alongside the school’s camera system to give parents and staff peace of mind. Discovery Village reported a more secure, convenient experience for 40+ Kisi users and a one-app workflow for managing both access and operations.
