Case Study: Algolia achieves stronger office security and seamless access for 100+ employees with Kisi

A Kisi Case Study

Algolia - Customer Case Study

Algolia, a single-location company with 100+ employees, faced routine security pains: lost or unused office keys, doors left propped open, and a cumbersome process for granting access to new or visiting staff. To solve this, Algolia implemented Kisi’s cloud-based access control using Kisi cards and mobile credentials across their San Francisco office.

Kisi installed readers on four doors (including the freight elevator and data closet), created four access levels, and supported onboarding of over 100 users — including remote visitors enrolled before arrival — improving flexibility and visibility into who’s on-site. The Kisi deployment increased security and transparency, stopped doors being routinely propped open, enabled remote provisioning (two Paris engineers arrived with working access), and drove rapid adoption (about a 50/50 split between cards and mobile, with ten mobile sign-ups in the first hour).
