A Kira Talent Case Study
Yale School of Management faced the challenge of reviewing about 3,500 MBA applications each year with a small admissions team, while still finding better ways to evaluate candidates holistically and assess communication and language skills early in the process. Since 2013, Yale SOM has used Kira Talent to support its admissions review and gather deeper applicant insights beyond transcripts, essays, and resumes.
Kira Talent implemented its Asynchronous Assessment and Reviewer Services to help Yale SOM streamline review workflows, flag candidates needing closer attention, and reduce bias by ensuring more eyes on each application. The results included significantly fewer interview reports with serious English-language concerns, saving the admissions team hours of interview scheduling and conducting, and allowing Yale SOM to drop the English language exam requirement for its MBA program, reducing barriers for applicants.
