A Kira Talent Case Study
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) faced the challenge of scaling holistic admissions across 150 graduate programs and about 6,000 annual applicants with a small admissions team. As test-optional policies grew and the university sought to evaluate more than just academic metrics, UNLV turned to Kira Talent and its asynchronous assessment tools to support a more accessible and efficient admissions process.
Kira Talent implemented timed video and written questions to replace or supplement on-campus interviews, helping UNLV reduce travel barriers, improve the applicant experience, and give reviewers a more flexible workflow. The results included a 20% increase in diversity for the Doctor of Physical Therapy cohort, an incoming cohort that was 70% from diverse backgrounds in another program, and expanded adoption across more than 175 graduate programs, with reviewers also reporting a time-efficient, easy-to-use process.
