Preview of the University of Connecticut School of Law Case Study

UConn Law launches a holistic admissions assessment to build their ideal cohort more effectively

The University of Connecticut School of Law wanted to strengthen its admissions process by adding an equitable interview component that could help evaluate applicants more holistically, especially since written applications and traditional metrics like GPA and test scores don’t always show the full picture. With around 1,500 applications a year, UConn Law turned to Kira Talent to support its goal of identifying fit, employability, and future success in a more complete way.

Kira Talent implemented an asynchronous interview assessment with structured scoring, custom rubrics, and integrity features to help UConn Law review applicants consistently and securely. The launch was completed in just six weeks before admissions cycle start, and UConn Law reported a smoother onboarding experience, easier applicant evaluation, stronger insight into candidate fit, and the ability to spot applicants who may not have stood out on paper but excelled in the interview.
