Rotman School of Management needed a better way to curate a truly global MBA cohort: in-person interviews weren’t feasible for many international and high-demand North American applicants, and traditional essays didn’t give enough insight. Rotman partnered with Kira Talent and replaced half of their essay questions with a Kira video assessment that asks three interview-style questions.
Kira Talent’s solution let applicants record three responses on their own time (the full process takes about 5–10 minutes), giving Rotman an in-person-like view of candidates at scale. As the first MBA program to use Kira, Rotman delivered a branded interview experience to thousands of applicants, earned media recognition for innovation, enhanced the candidate experience, and strengthened the admissions team’s ability to select the best cohort.
