Increasing cohort diversity by 62% at UT Health San Antonio Nursing

UT Health San Antonio’s School of Nursing wanted to move to a more holistic admissions process to build a student body that better reflected its community, but found that required on‑campus interviews discouraged many qualified applicants. To remove this barrier they partnered with Kira Talent, adopting Kira’s timed video assessments to preserve interview insights while broadening access.

Kira Talent implemented on‑demand, timed video assessments that let applicants complete interview questions remotely and on their own schedule; as a result the School achieved a more accessible, holistic process, saw a 9% increase in student diversity, received positive feedback from faculty and applicants, and expanded the tool’s use into the undergraduate program.
