Tuck School of Business faced the challenge of moving a discussion-heavy, reading-intensive course online during the COVID-19 shutdown while still keeping students engaged and accountable for pre-class preparation. Using Kira Talent’s timed video assessment tools, Charlie Wheelan needed a way to replace his in-person paper quizzes and create a more interactive, human online learning experience.
Kira Talent helped Wheelan turn the quizzes into short, timed video responses that checked whether students had done the reading and sparked richer discussion. The result was stronger student engagement, a greater sense of personal connection, and more thoughtful class participation; Wheelan said it helped him connect with students, made the course more fun, and enabled deeper discussion than traditional tools.
