Questrom School of Business at Boston University, committed to creating value for the world, faced a challenge in admissions: essays and test scores made it difficult to assess applicants’ personality, presence, and motivation. To find candidates who truly align with their mission, Questrom partnered with Kira Talent and looked for a more authentic way to evaluate applicants.
Kira Talent implemented its platform as a video-essay component—required for the Specialized Masters and used in the MBA process—giving each applicant three randomly selected questions and 60 seconds per response. Using Kira Talent’s short video responses, Questrom gained a more authentic view of candidates, advanced its mission-driven class composition, and did so without losing efficiency.
