A Kira Talent Case Study
Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University, a graduate school with over 1,000 students and programs representing 35 countries, faced inconsistent and technically fraught admissions video processes. Their prior approach—open-ended “video essays” or a separate timed video service—raised applicant privacy concerns, produced widely varying video quality, lacked integration, and led some candidates to drop out or miss deadlines. To address these issues, Fisher selected Kira Talent to improve the online admissions experience and better evaluate program fit and communication competencies.
Kira Talent implemented its integrated asynchronous assessment platform so Fisher could ask targeted, competency-based questions, replace one essay, and standardize reviewer scoring. The Kira solution reduced bias tied to production quality, improved the applicant experience and usability, and gives the admissions team clearer data to decide who to invite for on-campus interviews; Fisher expects higher completion rates and more objective evaluation of candidate fit as a direct result of working with Kira Talent.
