McMaster Physiotherapy, part of McMaster University’s School of Graduate Studies, needed a better way to run admissions interviews for its rigorous physiotherapy master’s program. Its traditional in-person process was costly, time-consuming, and limited the number of applicants and reviewers who could participate, creating scheduling and travel barriers for candidates.

McMaster Physiotherapy implemented Kira Talent’s online, on-demand assessment platform to move interviews virtual and adopt a more holistic review process. With Kira Talent, the program increased interviews by 183% to 750–850 applicants without adding resources, expanded reviewer flexibility, reduced bias through structured horizontal review, and improved consistency and efficiency; the platform also helped the program avoid disruption during COVID-19.
