Burnett School of Medicine redesigns their MMI to focus on connection over logistics

Burnett School of Medicine at Texas Christian University wanted its Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) process to better reflect its mission of empathy and human connection. After using Zoom, the admissions team found the process clunky and inefficient, with technical issues and a weaker first impression for applicants, so they turned to Kira Talent for a more streamlined interview experience.

Kira Talent helped Burnett School of Medicine set up and schedule its MMI in one day, integrate scores with its AMP system, and use dashboard tools to reduce interview-day no-shows. The result was more than 30 hours saved over the year, only two to three no-shows out of 312 interviewees, and consistently positive feedback from faculty, staff, and applicants about the improved process.
