The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) needed a better way to govern its growing AWS cloud environment while supporting application teams, controlling costs, and maintaining compliance. As a result, CMS reduced user account provisioning time from several weeks to a couple of days, improved cost transparency and reporting, lowered cloud operations effort, and reduced cost overruns and compliance issues.
