A Kintone Case Study
Kyoto Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Medical Corporation Shimizukai, faced long inter-hospital transfer coordination times and relied on phone calls, fax, Excel, and paper to manage patient information and acceptance decisions. As a convalescent rehabilitation hospital with nearly all referrals coming from outside facilities, it needed a faster, more secure way to support hospital-to-hospital (H2H) coordination, and chose Kintone to build a tailored information-sharing platform.
Kintone was used to create an H2H coordination portal for sharing patient details, bed availability, and acceptance decisions across departments and partner hospitals. With Kintone, Kyoto Rehabilitation Hospital cut transfer coordination time from 15–16 days to as little as 8.9 days, reduced monthly paper usage by about 8,000 sheets, and improved decision-making and record management across the hospital.
