Watts, a global leader in water-technology products, needed a more intuitive, scalable way to deliver and track centralised online training after its legacy LMS left users frustrated and engagement low. Stakeholder interviews highlighted the need for stronger eLearning capabilities, easier access for employees and partners, and a platform that could grow with the brand.
Kineo implemented a custom Totara LMS with auto-audience assignment and Motrain gamification to create a “Learn and Earn” program where learners earn tokens redeemable for Watts‑branded merchandise. The result: course completions jumped from about 1,000 in 2018 to more than 28,000 in the first 90 days, over 2,300 external self‑registrations, 121 available courses, 30,676 external enrollments, and 688 merchandise redemptions — plus faster course publishing and greater flexibility to promote learning initiatives.
