The IPA, the world‑leading professional body for advertising and marketing communications, needed to modernise how it delivered flagship qualifications like the Foundation Certificate in Advertising. Their legacy platform was slow, not mobile‑friendly, and lacked tools for the IPA team to manage learners, content and online exams—limitations that threatened learner satisfaction and the organisation’s global ambitions.
Kineo implemented a Totara Learn solution with an IPA‑branded theme, SSO, an Isotope module filter, a custom My Progress block, themed course templates and a native iOS/Android app with offline sync, plus Anders Pink content curation. The new platform increased learner ratings from 93% to 97%, reduced support queries so the IPA team could take support in‑house (previously costing £11,400/year), delivered a £23,000 annual saving on the relaunched certificate and estimated savings of well over £100K overall, and won the Totara Award for Best Not‑for‑profit Project.
