OurRelationship uses Totara Learn to help couples strengthen their relationships

OurRelationship is a free, three-phase online marriage and relationship programme run by Dr. Brian Doss at the University of Miami that can be completed in 7–8 hours. They needed a user-friendly, multi-device platform that supported highly individual learning journeys, allowed coaches and researchers to access participant responses, and let romantic partners have linked yet distinct accounts to work separately and then come together for guided conversations.

Using Totara Learn, Kineo implemented conditional content, score-driven graphs and tailored feedback, plus MCQ/drop-down and text fields that save responses for later use and research. Partner accounts remain separate for individual progress tracking but can be merged into a single interwoven conversation view. In a randomized trial of 300 couples the programme produced significant relationship improvements and reductions in depression and anxiety, and the results helped secure a five-year federal contract to serve about 2,500 low-income couples.
