A Kineo Case Study

Preview of the Drug Free Sport New Zealand Case Study

Multi-device eLearning and platform for Drug Free Sport New Zealand

Kineo partnered with Drug Free Sport New Zealand (DFSNZ), the agency responsible for applying the World Anti‑Doping Code, to modernise DFSNZ’s education. The existing Flash-based course and LMS were inaccessible on many devices and browsers, not mobile-enabled, not WCAG 2.0 AA compliant, did not meet the 2015 Code requirements, and provided limited reporting — making training hard to deliver to geographically dispersed athletes, coaches and support personnel.

Kineo built a custom Totara LMS and HTML5, responsive Level 1 anti‑doping course with guided learning, a stadium‑map module navigator, personalised profiles, embedded athlete videos and configurable reporting, all meeting WCAG 2.0 AA. The solution improved usability and reach, hundreds of athletes completed the course since its March 2016 launch, feedback has been very positive, and the project won LearnX Gold and Silver awards.
