A Kineo Case Study
Given Imaging (now part of COVIDIEN) is a leader in capsule endoscopy whose new PillCam Colon device—with two cameras and more complex, variable bowel movement—created a training challenge: physicians needed extensive hands‑on video practice but were often unavailable for multi‑day, in‑person seminars. GI required a computerized, multilingual solution that let clinicians practice capsule video reading at their own pace, get immediate feedback, and meet local regulatory and language needs.
Kineo Israel implemented a Moodle‑based blended learning platform integrated with GI’s RAPID® software, delivering real patient videos, an adaptive scoring engine, immediate feedback, and multi‑device access. The rollout eliminated classroom training in some countries (e.g., Japan), used blended delivery elsewhere (US, Hong Kong), improved access and learner satisfaction, enabled global scaling and localization, and delivered cost‑effective, flexible training with measurable skill assessment.
