Aramark faced the challenge of creating a hiring skills training program that was flexible enough to work across its 15 diverse industries, while still being specific enough for managers to apply to their unique needs. As the company was also new to elearning, the additional challenge for vendor Kineo was to design a program that employees would see as valuable professional development rather than just a compliance exercise.
Kineo implemented a blended learning solution consisting of 70 minutes of interactive elearning as pre-work, followed by a one-day instructor-led workshop. This approach built a foundation of knowledge online and then allowed managers to practice their skills through live role-play. The Kineo solution was successfully piloted and refined, resulting in a consistent and scalable program that was integrated into Aramark's new manager onboarding to highlight the application of its Leadership Competency Framework.
