A digital training Induction Program for TransGrid that reinforces the company mission

TransGrid, which delivers electricity transmission to over 3 million customers across NSW, the ACT and beyond, needed a standardised, centralised induction to ensure new hires quickly understood the company’s history, operations and mission to support Australia’s renewable energy transition. Working with Kineo, TransGrid developed a mandatory two-course eLearning induction to be completed in the first two weeks, built from agreed learning objectives, SME input and two design workshops.

The solution combined interactive, multimedia content and clear messaging to engage different learning styles and embed company values; ongoing touchpoints and annual reviews keep it current. The induction has improved consistency of knowledge across new and existing staff, reinforced commitment to the brand and mission, been praised as “the best [induction eLearning] I have ever done,” and is now used internally and with external partners to explain who TransGrid is and what it does.
