A Kineo Case Study
TPG Telecom, one of Australia’s largest telecommunications companies (home to brands like Vodafone, TPG and iiNet), needed a design-led overhaul of its learning management system to deliver a highly personalised, visually rich and socially collaborative learning experience. After auditing learners, the L&D team aimed to match the sophistication and ease of consumer apps and reduce friction to boost adoption and engagement.
Partnering with Kineo, TPG migrated to Totara and launched a Netflix-style dashboard with social cues, topic pathways and integrations with external resources (e.g., LinkedIn Learning, TED). One month after launch the LMS recorded 25,000 course completions—3,000 more than any month in the previous four years—97% of the workforce are enrolled in learning journeys, and per-visit engagement and self-directed learning have risen significantly.
