Purdue for Life Foundation, the advancement and fundraising organization serving Purdue University, faced a major challenge after its annual Purdue Day of Giving: processing tens of thousands of donations, matching donor records, and preparing reports took a week or more of highly manual work. Using Kindsight’s ascend CRM, the team had to manage tight month-end deadlines while dealing with duplicate checks, spreadsheet-heavy workflows, and the risk of errors across multiple staff and systems.
Kindsight implemented ascend features including Interim-to-Interim matching and Review Transactions to automate donor record processing and transaction review. The result was a 95% reduction in manual lookup work, with only 1,215 of 24,847 interim records requiring manual review, and 31,108 RTv2 transactions processed over the giving day period. Purdue for Life Foundation raised and processed $76.5 million in just a day and a half, improved data accuracy, cut staff involved in processing by half, and was able to send thank-you follow-ups much faster.
