UNESCO launches a 5-year education-in-emergencies hub with Kind

UNESCO faced a challenge with its Education in Emergencies (EiE) project, as a significant body of vital data and reports was scattered and inaccessible to the practitioners who needed it most. This isolation led to duplicated efforts and frustration in the field. The vendor Kind was appointed to address this through a global user-centred discovery and website design process.

Kind conducted extensive research and designed a digital platform within UNESCO's existing brand system. The solution provided a central, accessible repository for data, case studies, and tools, even for users with limited connectivity or non-English primary languages. As a result, Kind's work reduced duplicated effort, accelerated cross-border knowledge sharing, and supported faster, better-informed responses for education systems in crisis.
