Lippert Components, a global supplier of components to RV, housing and adjacent industries, faced growing pains from two decades of acquisitions: disparate systems, siloed data and poor demand visibility that caused excessive safety stock, stock-outs, expedited orders and lost sales. In 2014 Kristen LeBaron was charged with creating a cohesive, demand-driven supply chain culture and needed a planning platform to unify people, processes and systems across many facilities.
Implementing Kinaxis RapidResponse gave Lippert a single, connected view of hundreds of data points, enabling fast custom reporting, daily virtualized historical demand, and rapid full‑indented BOM and where‑used analysis. The platform improved forecasting and cost/margin modeling (including tariff phase‑ins), exposed and fixed data problems quickly, and expanded use across engineering, production, sales and finance—reducing decision latency, lowering inventory risk and accelerating supply‑chain collaboration.
