A Kiddom Case Study
Marshall County School District, through the work of teachers at South Marshall Elementary and Jonathan Elementary, wanted to move beyond a test-focused model toward personalized, student-centered learning. Their challenge was to support blended instruction, standards-based grading, and stronger student self-advocacy while helping students clearly understand what they were learning and how to demonstrate mastery.
Kiddom helped the district centralize assignments, standards, rubrics, student work, and conference notes so teachers could differentiate instruction, track progress, and give timely feedback on both process and product. At South Marshall Elementary, Kiddom supported personalized pacing, automatic assignment copies, scanned work, and data-driven goal setting; at Jonathan Elementary, it enabled students to submit videos explaining their math thinking and use custom rubrics for justification. The result was improved organization, clearer expectations, stronger self-reflection, and noticeable student growth, with teachers reporting that students were making “excessive” progress through tailored assignments and customized pacing.
