A KickUp Case Study

Lubbock Independent School District - Customer Case Study

Lubbock Independent School District, serving nearly 28,000 students across 2,000 teachers in West Texas, needed a better way to turn professional development feedback into timely, actionable support. With a content-focus PD model and instructional coaching spread across multiple strands, the district struggled to manually manage data, identify teacher- and campus-specific needs, and understand whether PD was truly changing classroom practice. KickUp helped address this challenge with a feedback and coaching log system.

KickUp worked with Lubbock ISD to create a streamlined feedback loop and coaching log process that captured role-based PD feedback, coaching activity, and follow-up needs in real time. The district now uses KickUp to align coaching time with highest-need areas, inform content priorities, and communicate impact to leadership, including the school board. Results include more than 7,000 coaching logs submitted since September 2019, with 95% of teachers agreeing PD builds their capacity and 98% saying they’re prepared to apply what they learned.
