A KickUp Case Study
Ladue School District, a suburban public school district in St. Louis serving 4,000 K-12 students and 300 teachers, needed a more formal way to gather teacher feedback and measure the impact of professional development. Working with KickUp, the district sought a valid, reliable needs assessment to better understand teacher strengths, challenges, and priorities—especially around diversity and social-emotional learning—so it could improve district-wide PD planning.
KickUp helped Ladue build a data-gathering strategy and teacher needs assessment aligned to district priorities, while also setting up a plan to monitor progress throughout the year. As a result, Ladue used spring feedback to make PD more data-informed, added review meetings two weeks before each PD session, improved collaboration among teachers in non-core subjects, and used building-specific data to track needs across all seven schools.
