Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association customer Marcello’s Indianapolis Jiu-Jitsu Academy, founded in 2000 and part of a larger association of more than 50 schools, needed a better way to manage student retention while Marcello Monteiro traveled frequently to teach seminars and support affiliated schools. As a result, the academy saw fluctuating membership numbers and struggled to keep newer students engaged and motivated.

The school implemented Kicksite’s martial arts school management platform, using automated messaging and the dashboard to stay connected with students and monitor operations remotely. Kicksite helped the team follow up on missed classes, improve communication, and strengthen retention; Marcello reported an immediate improvement and set a growth goal of reaching 500–600 students at his Indianapolis school.
