The customer, Kube, needed to validate its new on-demand book box service without an actual product to show. To measure product-market fit and grow an email list organically, Kube used a landing page and referral campaign tools from the vendor, KickoffLabs.
KickoffLabs enabled Kube to run a "fake it til you make it" pre-launch campaign. By using a viral referral program managed through the platform, Kube collected over 30,000 leads with $0 spent on advertising. This effort resulted in 1,000 sales within four hours of their product launch, and nearly 20% of the collected leads eventually became paying customers.
