Purina wanted to raise awareness and help facilitate pet adoptions in St. Louis and the metro area, while giving Pet Lovers Coalition shelters and rescues an equal opportunity event with more reach than each organization could achieve alone. To support that goal, Purina worked with Kicking Cow Promotions to create an annual local adoption event for the community.
Kicking Cow Promotions helped Purina stage the Better Together Adoption Event, bringing participating shelters and rescues together in a unified experience focused on finding pets forever homes. In 2016, the event included 22 participating shelters and 69 onsite adoptions, and a two-week Purina promotion after the event drove 964 St. Louis pet adoptions. Compared with 2015, that was 83% growth in participating shelters and a 146% increase in onsite adoptions.
